Duties:
Full Time Physician Assistant for the Diabetes-Endocrine Specialty Clinics. The PA will be providing case management to the Veterans referred for Diabetes/related disorders for patient care and education. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment. The PA assesses patient's condition/diagnosis and evaluates patient's response to medications/treatments. The PA assists the patient in meeting established goals through diet, medication, exercise and other factors to bring blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible. Develops individualized treatment plans. He/she provides consultation/education and literature to patients and their family. The PA collaborates and consults with health care team members on treatment plans, patient's response and progress or lack there of and formulating resolutions to identified problems. The PA provides training to health care providers, staff and students on diabetes and endocronology specialty fields. The candidate must have at least one year of experience in the Diabetes-Endocrine Specialty Area. Performs other related duties as assigned and within their scope of practice.

Relocation expenses will not be reimbursed.
